Mariama Del Mar
Movement as ritual
Dance & Performances
A performer with over fifteen years on stage, working at the intersection of Tribal Fusion, flamenco, contemporary and ritual movement — a language forged in flamenco lived and studied in Spain, and deepened through temple dance and Butoh. She performs solo or with live musicians, including fire shows, in original costumes she designs and hand-paints herself.

Born in fire
Art
Her art is born in fire. She works wild clay dug from abandoned quarries and fired in a garden pit, then patiently reassembled after the cracks of firing — each seam part of the work’s new reality. Alongside ceramics she draws with pigments made from the coal and ash of her own fires, builds mosaics from hand-collected stones, and paints in a tradition steeped in Moorish and Islamic miniature art.

Design & Monumental Art
Through her studio La Tierra, Mariama brings rare and ancient techniques into contemporary interiors — mosaic, fresco, sgraffito, relief in cement and plaster, stained glass, raku, and painting on mirror, wood and walls. As a monumental artist trained at the Surikov Institute she creates bespoke surfaces and art solutions, from Wabi-Sabi to Boho and Minimalism, each rooted in natural materials and the traces of time.

Adornment as talisman
Jewelry
Author jewelry forged in brass and metal, each piece treated in fire so the material shifts its tone — wearable extensions of the same elemental practice that drives her ceramics and performance.

Retreats & Workshops
Mariama leads workshops and ceremonial formats for retreats, cultural spaces and private groups: clay and ceramic rituals, fire-cleansing rites, intention-based wreath making, cacao ceremonies, and Tribal Fusion and flamenco classes — taught through technique, archetype and imagery, in formats from single masterclasses to multi-week courses.

About
Mariama Del Mar
Artist · Dancer · Ceramicist · Guide
A monumental artist, ceramicist and performer born in Moscow in 1990. She trained at the Moscow State Academy Art Lyceum of the Russian Academy of Arts and graduated from the Surikov Art Institute (Murals Department), later mastering stained glass and original mosaic work. Her practice spans miniature painting, linocut, mosaic, stained glass, easel painting and wood-fired ceramics — with the traditions and art of the Eastern world running through it like a scarlet thread.
She has lived in Turkey and Spain and travelled extensively through Morocco and beyond, studying Islamic culture, flamenco and ritual movement. Her works are held in private collections in Italy, Israel, France and other countries.
My work is rooted in the search for authenticity and connection with the deeper essence of a human being. The body is a conductor of energy, emotion and state — on stage I do not portray emotions, I live them fully.
